Santa fun in the snow

It’s snowing outside, and I’m sipping a steaming mug of cocoa and warming my toes by the fire. Isn’t it just a wonderful feeling to be warm and cosy in winter?

There is so much happening at the North Pole. Everybody is busy with something. Mrs Claus baked hundreds of star-shaped cookies. A few of the elves helped decorate them with lemon icing and sparkles. The reindeer and I tasted them and can honestly say that they are very delicious. The rest of the elves have been making presents around the clock. I even spotted the [Present] you’re hoping for in Workshop Five. Apart from tasting cookies, the reindeer have been very busy training for the upcoming trip around the world. It’s incredible how fast they can fly!

The elves and I wondered if we can be just as fast and had a little fun with our sledges. We went up the biggest hill we could find and sledged down as fast as we could. Ah, the reindeer thought that was very funny. Of course, we were nowhere close to as fast as the magical reindeer, but it sure was fun to try.

Has it been snowing in [HomeTown] too? Then [Friends Name] and you can also sledge, or perhaps you prefer to build a snowman. Building snowmen is also a lot of fun, no matter how old you are. It is fun at my age, but just as much fun at [Age Range] old. Don’t you agree? Oh, that reminds me, I received a letter from [Relative Name] just the other day. I enjoyed reading about your [Achievement] and was very impressed. Well done for once again being on my Nice List!

Snowing at the North Pole

The elves woke me up very early this morning. You see, they were very excited because it had been snowing all night, and everything was covered with a thick layer of fresh snow. That fresh, fluffy snow is the best, don’t you agree? I hope it snows in [HomeTown] soon.

We have been working around the clock these last few weeks. After all, we have important presents to finish. Just yesterday, the elves were putting the finishing touches to the [Present] you asked for, so continue to be a good [Boy/Girl] this year and I hope to bring it to you at Christmas.

This morning when the elves showed us all the fresh snow, Mrs Claus and I decided that today was going to be a day off. It was time to have some fun outside! Do [Friends Name] and you also like to play in the snow?

My dear [Boy/Girl], we had a wonderful time with all that snow. First, we built snowmen, but the reindeer kept eating the carrot noses. Then we had a snowball fight. Can you believe that even Mrs Claus joined in? Oh, what fun we had. We played and played until our socks were soggy.

My soggy socks are drying in front of the fireplace now. Mrs Claus has brought me a mug of hot milk and some freshly baked Christmas pudding to enjoy while I write to you. Santa, the snowman, the elves

My dear [Boy/Girl], finally I have a chance to sit in my favourite chair and write you a letter. You see, I was outside building the most wonderful snowman with the elves. It was a great big, beautiful snowman, much taller than I am. The elves and I had so much fun, I didn’t even realise that I got snow in my boots. Then again, it is possible that one of the elves scooped snow into my boots when I wasn’t looking. The elves can be very naughty at times. Either way, my dear [First name], I now have very wet socks and very cold feet.

Thank goodness Mrs Claus made sure the fireplace is roaring so I can warm my feet and dry my socks. Wet socks are not fun at all, don’t you agree? Mrs Claus said that she would bring me a mug of warm cocoa and one of my favourite mince pies that she has been baking for Christmas. What is your favourite festive treat?

I heard about your wonderful [Achievement]. That is quite something for a [Boy/Girl] who is only [Age Range] old. [Relative Name] must be very proud of you. Countdown to Christmas

It has been a busy few weeks here at the North Pole. Christmas is approaching fast, and things are getting very exciting. The reindeer have been practising their flying skills every day. It is quite remarkable how fast they are. I think it may be the delicious carrot cookies Mrs Claus has been baking for them. They do love the taste of carrot very much and, of course, Mrs Claus is an excellent baker.

Mrs Claus has been baking around the clock. There are so many cookies and mince pies and fruitcakes to bake. After all, children and adults around the world love Christmas treats! I must say, Santa-shaped Christmas cookies are my favourite. What about you, [First name]? What is your favourite Christmas treat?

The elves have also been working very hard to get all those presents ready. You see, this year, my nice list is exceptionally long. There have been so many good boys and girls all over the world. I am happy to see that both you and [Friends Name] have made it onto my nice list yet again. I heard all about your [Achievement]. That is excellent for a [Boy/Girl] of only [Age Range] old. There is still much to do, but it’s also important to remember the Christmas spirit. A day at The North Pole with Santa

What a day it has been here at the North Pole! The snow has been coming down thick and fast, so me and the elves have been getting up incredibly early to clear out the drive for the reindeer. Donner and Blitzen love to practice pulling the sleigh around the hills, especially when the ground is thick with a fresh coating of sparkling white snow.

Once we have opened the reindeer pen and they have dashed off into the hills, it is time to open the workshop. Around this time of year, the elves are so excited to get to work they are already lined up at the doors when I get there! Each day we start by reading out any new names that have appeared on the Nice List overnight, so we can get working on the perfect presents right away.

Now I’m writing this letter to you because this morning I saw your name at the top of the Nice List and I wanted to let you know how proud I am of you. Your [Relative Name] let me know that you have been an extra good [Boy/Girl] this year, and it really warms my heart to hear about all of the ways you’ve earned your place on the Nice List. Like how kind you have been to [Friends Name], and how much cheer you have shared throughout the year! Not only that, but you [Achievement]. I had to tell Mrs Claus about that because I was so impressed and let me tell you she could not believe that a [Age Range] old could have achieved something so wonderful.

It truly is the best part of our life here in the North Pole, sharing stories of all the amazing girls and boys in the world and knowing that our hard work will bring some extra joy to your Christmas days. I spent the whole morning wondering what the best way to make you smile on Christmas morning could be, and it was only when I was in the stables sharing some cookies with the reindeer that I had a brilliant idea. Santa Special COVID-19 Letter

What a year it has been! In the last twelve months I have seen such courage and kindness spread throughout the world that the Nice List is longer than it ever has been. It seems like every boy and girl has faced any challenges the year has thrown at them with such creativity and an open heart, and as we lead up to Christmas I just know we are going to have the best one yet after all of our hard work.

[Relative Name] has told me all about the different things you have been doing this year, and how you and [Friends Name] have been exploring all sorts of new ways to be the best of friends. Well there have been all the fun things to try online, like video calls, art classes, and even PE! Me and the elves have been spending lots of time in our bubble learning new things too over this period.

Mrs Claus helped me put up a big rainbow in our windows, so all the amazing doctors and nurses of Lapland could see how thankful we are for their hard work. We know it has been super busy at Happy Holiday Hospital, but they have been doing a great job, just like all of the key workers in [HomeTown]. They are not the only ones who have been working hard this year – I heard that you [Achievement], what a clever [Boy/Girl] you are!

I think the perfect way to round off this year will be sharing our festive cheer together over Christmas day, and I have been working around the clock to get all of the presents ready for the big delivery. Christmas is almost here, and the elves have been super busy in the workshop. They have also been teasing the reindeer and decorating them while they are sleeping. The reindeer are not incredibly happy about it, but I must say that they look quite dashing with all that tinsel on their antlers. I am not so sure if the elves would be on my nice list, but you, my dear [Boy/Girl] certainly are. Well done for being so good this year and for [Achievement]. At [Age Range] old, that is such a great achievement and Mrs Claus and I are so immensely proud of you.

In fact, the reindeer and I have enjoyed reading your letter and after checking the Naughty and Nice lists, I am incredibly pleased to say that you are on the Nice list! Well done for being a good [Boy/Girl] this year. The Elves are busy making and wrapping all the presents for the children of the world, and Mrs Claus is with the other reindeer giving them plenty of treats!

I noticed on your letter you wrote where you live, and I have noticed that we have quite a few presents labelled for [HomeTown]. The Elves are currently packing them one by one onto the sleigh and I am sure I saw one with your name on it. Although, there is still a lot of making and wrapping to do. I also noticed a present for [Friends Name] too. Having a best friend is wonderful, Mrs Claus is my best friend, please remember to be kind to each other and remember to share, okay?

It has been a long night at the workshop, and I have just sat down to have my favourite treat of cookies and milk. I think I have earned it this year because me and the elves have been working around the clock to get all the presents made! This year in the workshop as well as making presents we have been sharing lots of joy and laughter, and the elves have even made up some festive jokes! Extra Carrots for the Reindeers

Things have been getting a little hectic up at the North Pole recently. As well as wrapping up all the presents, we have been feeding the reindeer extra carrots to get them ready for their big flight on Christmas Eve. They always enjoy flying over [HomeTown], except when it is raining! They do not like getting their ears wet.

My sleigh has been fuelled up with Christmas magic and the elves have been building toys since last Boxing Day! Did you know that we have a team of polar bears in our packing department? They load all the presents onto the sleigh because some are a little too big for the elves to carry. Our bears are very friendly and love nothing more than to lie by the fire at night and warm their paws.

Pepper, our head elf, tells me that you turned [Age Range] old this year and that you have been a very good [Boy/Girl]. I heard you [Achievement], that is quite an achievement! I am sure your [Relative Name] must be so proud of you. I have also been told that you would like a [Present] for Christmas – that sounds wonderful! I’ve just popped out of the workshop for a little while to sit down and write to you. Nobody has noticed that I’ve sneaked away because they are all so busy. The elves are wrapping lots of presents for children all over the world, and Mrs Claus is with the reindeer and rubbing some cream onto Prancer’s nose because he bumped it on the ceiling when he was practising his flying manoeuvres. Don’t worry – it doesn’t hurt – but he does look a little bit silly!

Talking of presents, there’s a big pile of them in the workshop beside the Christmas tree, and I noticed some of the labels said [HomeTown]. That’s where you live, isn’t it? There are a few more presents to add to the pile before they get loaded onto the sleigh, and one of those is for you. There’s one for [Friends Name], too. I’m so happy you have a best friend. Please carry on being kind to each other, won’t you?

We’re very busy here at the North Pole, getting ready for Christmas. Mrs Claus is feeding the reindeer, the elves are making lots of toys for boys and girls all over the world, and I’m drying my boots in front of the fire because one naughty elf thought it would be funny to put snowballs in them. I don’t know which one it was, but I will find out! Has it snowed in [HomeTown] yet? Make sure you wrap up nice and warm if it does, and don’t put snowballs in anybody’s boots. Having soggy socks is horrible!

Your [Relative Name] told me what a good [Boy/Girl] you’ve been this year, and all about [Achievement], which makes me very happy indeed. Well done! I’ve also been told that you’d like a [Present] for Christmas, which I think is a perfect present for someone that is [Age Range] old. On Christmas Eve perhaps you’ll be kind enough to leave out a little snack for me or the reindeer to nibble on when we visit your home. That would be wonderful! They love to munch on carrots, but I’d much rather have a mince pie or a cookie. Mrs Claus had to make me a new pair of trousers this year because I ate so many cookies last Christmas that I couldn’t do them up.

Santa Taking Off from House

It’s incredible to think that Christmas is upon us again. The elves are busy tinkering away in their workshops to prepare all the toys for all the children of the world, including you and your dear friend [Friends Name]. Don’t worry though, we won’t forget about your [Relative Name] either. A special treat is reserved just for them. Mrs Claus just has to get around to doing the gift-wrapping.

Mrs Claus does love animals, and so as Christmas time approaches she takes extra special care of the reindeers, making sure that they get lots of carrots to keep them well-fed and gives them long walks through the forest around our home to make sure that they’re fit and ready to drop off toys to you all. Don’t worry, the reindeers started their exercise extra early this year so they’ll be whooshing across the twinkling skies of [HomeTown] on Christmas eve and if you continue to be good we will hopefully be delivering your [Present].

Mrs Claus and the elves send their love. We can’t tell you how delighted we were when we heard from the Head Elf that you are on the nice list again this year. Although, to be honest we weren’t surprised as you are growing into a wonderful and kind [Boy/Girl]. As you’ve grown in size you’ve grown in wisdom, and I bet your [Relative Name] were as pleased as us when you [Achievement] and at just [Age Range] old too!

Sadly, I shall have to say goodbye as the reindeers are getting a little too attached to our Christmas tree decorations for my liking. They ate some of them last year and had a terrible tummy ache for days.
